Luke 18:1-8

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.  He said: 'In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men.  And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, "Grant me justice against my adversary."  For some time he refused.  But finally he said to himself, "Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!"'  And the Lord said, 'Listen to what the unjust judge says.  And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?  I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?'

The widow came to this judge who didn't fear God and didn't respect men to seek justice, because faith needs to be coupled with paying a price and action.  Especially in the living environment around us, we look around and don't see any opportunities for turnaround, people around us don't seem to change much, brothers and sisters continue to be weak, even cell meetings feel pretty dead.  Even at such time, you will need to bring people around you before God by faith.  Just like this widow, you need have a consistent and persistent faith.

In Ezekiel chapter 37, the Lord's messenger brought Ezekiel to see a vision where a plain is filled with dry bones, and it looked gloomy and hopeless.  The Lord asked Ezekiel, can these bones be resurrected?  Ezekiel answered, Lord, you know from the perspective of men there's no sign of life in these bones, but the Lord know the truth.  The Lord asked Ezekiel to prophecy on these dry bones and let the breath of God enter these dry bones to resurrect them.  This means not to look at the circumstance, but be persistent by faith.  As a result, when Ezekiel followed God's command by faith, and told the breath of God to come from all directions, these dry bones resurrected and became a great army.

We must persist till the end, because the world is filled with those who ridicule the losers and also many spectators; but the Lord is seeking for those who have real faith, who can see vision given by God, who can rise up with God and stand up again and again after failure.  In this parable of the widow, there is an important ending:  The Lord asked: "when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"  May God help us, make us people with such great faith, never become frustrated in any circumstance in life, not afraid of failure, persist till the end, and God will make way for us!

Lord, I pray for the brothers and sisters who are in hardship or are frustrated right now.  I bless them with the victorious name of Jesus.  May the Lord give them a solid and persistent faith, put it in their heart so that they won't ever become frustrated.  Let them not be afraid of failure, because they know you are with them.  I thank you and I pray in the victorious name of Jesus, amen!
