John 10:7-10
Therefore Jesus said again, "Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
In this passage, Lord Jesus differentiated the work of shepherd and enemy. Verse 10 says that the thieves have three types of work: steal, kill and destroy, which are the things that Satan do in God's kingdom. He wants to steal God's glory, He kills people in God's Kingdom, as He destroys the work on God's Kingdom. It's the same in our personal life. Satan often deceives us deep down in our hearts, just like how He deceived Even before, making Eve believe that God's love for her was not deep enough and kept the best thing from her. That's why Eve had doubt in her mind and she ended up choosing to eat the fruit on the tree of good and evil.
Devil Satan also steals all kinds of God's grace and abundance from our lives, and he always performs the work of destruction in our lives. He destroys our relationships with God and others. We often live in self-centeredness, as the enemy always makes us feel that our needs must be met first. Consequently, because of the work of devil Satan, we only care about ourselves but not others, and we don't even care about work of God's Kingdom.
Lord Jesus said: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." In other word, the work of Lord Jesus Christ is totally different from work of the enemy. He's always here to build us up and to give us life. When one is in God's life, he will be filled with hope, light and joy. Jesus Christ is here to bring peace, joy, hope and satisfaction deep down into our soul. Not only giving us life, but to give it more abundantly. In other word, Lord will give us grace and more grace in our lives. Not just grace, but more grace in our lives each and every day! Not only will His grace satisfy our needs, but the grace will also let us provide for the needs of others. It's not just to let us be saved, but to let others be saved through us. Hallelujah!
Brothers and sisters, we often have doubts in God, but this doubt is from devil Satan, because the devil is here to destroy God's work and steal all the grace that God has given us. Let us never fall into the enemy's trap! If you have any doubt in our heart about God, you must rebuke all the work of the enemy in the victorious name of Jesus Christ! Let the Lord once again take control of your life, and let Lord Jesus bring a more abundant life to your life!
