John  9:35-41

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" "Who is he , sir?" the man asked, "Tell me so that I may believe him." Jesus said, " You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speak with you."  Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshipped him.

The Lord we believe in is not only one who performs miracles, but full of love and mercy; he looks after our needs.  Benny Hinn, the evangelist and healer, once heard a Muslim claiming how great Mohammed was, he then retorted, "May I asked if Mohammed loves you? Did he ever die for you?"  The Muslim remained quiet for he did not know if Mohammed truly loves him.

Brothers and sisters, God demonstrates His own love for us in that Jesus Christ  died for us when we were still  sinners! On the cross, He took up all our infirmities and carried our sorrows, the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wound we are healed. Hallelujah! He touched us with His amazing love and mercy, and we are saved by Him.

You do realize God meets us according to His own way at the time we are least expected? Like that blind man, he was much depressed and could not understand why he was driven out from the temple just because his sight was restored as if he was an outcast of the society.  Even though he was healed, but was rejected by the society and he was puzzles what he should do next. At this very time, Jesus came to him and revealed to him that He is the son of God. All of a sudden, he found the direction and meaning of his life, he immediately   prostrated down to worship Jesus.

Jesus our Lord is forever full of love and mercy.  When Jesus saw Zacchaeus up at the sycamore tree, he said to him," Zacchaeus, come down for today I must stay at your house." Zacchaeus felt that he was most undeserving and yet Jesus came to meet him and chose to stay at his house!  Likewise, when Jesus met the adulterous woman, Jesus not only delivered her from the being stoned to death, He also said to her, "nor do I condemn your sin."  Hallelujah! What other words are more precious than these? When Jesus saw the leper who did not believe Jesus would heal him, Jesus touch him and said, "I am willing, be cleansed!"  In the same way, Jesus knows your needs and touch you with His mercy in a way and time that you most unexpected. He is truly a God of miracles and mercy.

Dear Lord, we thank you for you are God full of mercy and miracles.
