Psalm 19:1-6

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.

When we witness the beauty of all things in the universe that God created, we can't help but to exalt His creation, for it is not what men can create, but only possible with hands of God. The heavens declare the glory of God, because God's glory is manifested through the beauty of nature. Not only that, the skies also proclaim the work of His hands, for His craftsmanship in creating the universe is indeed meticulous!

Scientist Newton once shared the gospel with a friend, and this friend did not believe that the world was created by God. One day, this friend visited Newton, and in Newton's house he saw this carefully crafted model of solar system. He asked: "Who made this model? What a delicate job!" Newton said: "No one, it just came out naturally." The friend said: "No way, how could such a meticulously crafted model be formed naturally? Someone must have made it!" Newton answered his friend: "Well, if you are so sure that a small model like this was made by someone, how come you don't believe that it wasn't God who created this meticulously crafted universe?"

Indeed, the skies will declare the work of God. The whole universe is proclaiming the existence of God, His creation and His work. Actually, the universe doesn't have to say anything, as verse three says "They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them." Even though there's no speed and no words, the whole universe is proclaiming the glory of God and declaring that His work is wonderful! That's why Paul, in Romans 1:20, said that "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." Hallelujah! God's creation and the breath of life that He gave us let us experience new grace and abundance, so we must thank God and praise Him! No matter what the circumstance is, let us give thanks and praises to God's grace, creation and mercy. Let us declare the glory of God with the heavens and proclaim His work his work with the skies!

Pray with Pastor Tong

Lord, the heavens declare your glory and the skies proclaim your work. The whole universe and nature will sing praise to you! Lord, may our hearts sing praise to you so that you may receive the greatest glory. I thank you and I pray in the victorious name of Jesus, amen!
