Today's Passage - Psalm 21:7-13

Psalm 21:7-13

For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken. Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies; your right hand will seize your foes. When you appear for battle, you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace. The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath, and his fire will consume them. You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from mankind. Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed. You will make them turn their backs when you aim at them with drawn bow. Be exalted in your strength, Lord; we will sing and praise your might.

Verse seven says that the "king trusts in Lord." Brothers and sisters, we must learn to rely on God so that we will no longer rely on our power, might or knowledge. We are often worried because we rely on our own limited abilities and wisdom to solve all the issues and problems in our life. Since our wisdom and abilities are limited, we can only make matters worse. Let us look upon Him and rely on Him. The Bible says that those who depend on God will not be put to shame, because God will surround us with His love; because of His love, our hearts will not shake.

Not only that, God will move His hands to make way for us. Verse 8 to 11 says that when the enemies attack us from all directions, God will personally prepare a feast for us, and He will vindicate us to accomplish His work. Psalm 23 says that before the enemy God will prepare a table for us. He is the God who fights for us, so let us look upon Him and rely on Him. Verse 13 says that "Be exalted in your strength, Lord; we will sing and praise your might." When we experience God's salvation and grace, we will once again exalt God, and praise and worship Him, for He alone is worthy of our praise and worship, because He is God and He is the master of our life! Brothers and sisters, do you know that He is the master of your life? All that you have are in God's hands, so let us go to Him with all our heart and all our mind!

Pray with Pastor Tong

Lord, we thank you because our life and our survival are all up to you. May the Holy Spirit stir up our hearts, so that we would solely depend on you no matter what the circumstance around us is like. Let us no longer rely on our own wisdom and talents, but just follow your way daily. I thank you and I pray in the victorious name of Jesus, amen!
