John 1: 13-14

...Children born not of natural decent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.  The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.  We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Our belief is not just a set of teachings, it must be accompanied by a living. Being a Christian, we must receive the life given by God, not by any external event.  As indicated here that a Christian cannot be born from the flesh since one can neither be a Christian by blood nor by heredity.  You cannot claim that you father is a Christian, therefore you are also a Christian, nor can you claim you are a Christian because your wife is a Christian.  Our belief comes from God - a life received from God.  We must first accept Him as our personal savior.

As stated here, Christians are not born of the flesh.  Some people attend church because they like the atmosphere there.  For them, there is a feeling of solemnity, and peacefulness.  In fact, if you do not have God's life in you today, you are still not saved.  Being a Christian comes neither from our own desire, nor our own will like: "I have decided now to attend church, read God's word daily, start praying".  This comes from the life given to us by God instead.  If the life from God is dwelling in you today, you are saved and born again.   On the contrary, if you do not have God's life, no matter how much you love the atmosphere in the church, how much you want to join the church and follow its examples, you are still not saved and born again.

You need to personally invite Jesus Christ into your life to become your personal savior.  Your life needed to be in a relationship with God.  For when Jesus came into this world, the Word has become flesh, and that is the   living Christ manifested among us.  Jesus had never prescribed any religious rules for us to follow.  He himself has become flesh, living vividly on this earth, and has become our example.  It is also because He had led a victorious life on earth, at the time we accepted Him as our personal savior, He enters in our lives and has  become our strength helping us to live out a Christian living.  It is God's will that as Christians we must receive the life coming from God.

Pray with Pastor Tong

Lord, we thank you because of your life living in us, we can now lead a life like Christ. May the Lord help us, take sovereignty over us so that our lives may be completely transformed by you.  With thanksgiving we pray in the victorious name of Jesus, Amen!
