Psalm 41:1-5

Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. The Lord protects and preserves them - they are counted among the blessed in the land - he does not give them over to the desire of their foes. The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness...

Brothers and sisters, our God is indeed the God who has mercy on us, and He is also the God who heals us. In the Bible, there's a difference between the definitions of grace and mercy. Grace allows us to stand before God. We were unworthy sinners who could not stand before God, but now because of the grace of Lord Jesus Christ we can stand before the throne of Father just as we are without any fear. That's what grace means. Mercy, on the other hand, mean the Lord is willing to enter into our lives to re-establish it. Grace allows us to stand before God, but God enters into our lives because of His mercy. By God's mercy we get to be cleansed, established and become complete in order for us to stand before Him, hallelujah!

Not only did Lord Jesus die on the cross for our sins, and delivered us from the punishment of our sin, His wounds also let us receive healing. Verse 3 says that "The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness." Hallelujah! This is such a precious promise! Brothers and sisters, if you are in sickness right now, or you've been ill for a long time, you need to know that the Lord is willing to put you in His arms, to comfort you and heal you! Let come before God by faith!

Lord Jesus Christ has already completed redemption for us on the cross. When the Lord was on the cross, He didn't say "I'm finished," but rather He said "it is finished." Our redemption is finished, for "the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." We can come before God to trust in Him without fear! Brothers and sisters, if you are suffering any pain, you can come before God by faith, simply look upon Him, and ask Lord Jesus Christ to touch your body with His power of resurrection, so that your body will be delivered from the authority of disease and darkness!

Pray with Pastor Tong

Lord, in the victorious name of Jesus Christ I rebuked all the work of the enemy and Satan, and I rebuke the authority of disease and darkness. May the Holy Spirit deliver our brothers and sisters, bring forth freedom, healing, peace and joy. I thank you and I pray in the victorious name of Jesus, amen!
