Today's Passage - John 7:38-52

River of Life Christian Church ︳www.rolcc.net/english John 7:38-52    "Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."    Jesus  reminded us that whoever believes in Him, streams of water will flow from within him.  Brothers and sisters,  we need the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  Perhaps we may have different opinion  on the work of the Holy Spirit, but without  question,  the presence  of Holy Spirit  in   our hearts cannot be concealed.  Is the Holy Spirit like a pool of stagnant water?  Or is it like  a stream of living water?  If the former is true,  we would easily be recongized.  On the contrary, if the Holy Spirit is like a stream of water billowing,  people would also take notice.  The work of the Holy Spirit in you could never be concealed.  You will definitely see the fruits of the Holy Spirit gushing out  like a stream of living water.   As recorded in chapter forty seven of Ezekiel,  the Lord brought this vision to the prophet: water coming out of the temple like a river covering only the ankles in the beginning, then the knees and the waist until the whole body was fully  submerged.  This   symbolizes when the Holy Spirit is like a streaming  river flowing out  from our lives,  we  are no longer satisfied just   playing  in ankle deep water.  But when we commit ourselves in this river of the Holy Spirit,  this is a  full submission, and as a result the Holy Spirit has complete sovereignty over our lives.  Once this happens, wherever this river flows, salt water will become sweet, all living creatures  will  be revived as described in Ezekiel chapter 47.    Brothers and sisters, when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, he brings  with him  a live with  energy  no matter where goes!  We need this power, and whenever we are filled with the Holy Spirit, people around us can feel its presence,  and it will be like a river billowing  out from our lives. May God help us so that the Holy Spirit will come upon us today!                          Pray with Pastor Tong           Lord,  whoever  believes in  You,  there will be rivers of living water flowing from their bosom.  May Your Holy Spirit be upon  this land, and may the rivers of  living water flow freely from our lives so that people around us may be transformed.  With thanks we pray  in the name of victorious Jesus, Amen!
