Today's Passage - Galatians 3:1-4

River of Life Christian Church ︳www.rolcc.net/english Galatians 3: 1-4    "You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?  Have you experienced so much in vain-if it really was in vain?"                  This scripture presents a great challenge to the traditional believers. We begin by means of the Holy Spirit, it says in 1 Cor. 12:3, "and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit." We enter the kingdom of God by means of the Holy Spirit, live in the presence of the Lord by means of the Spirit, but it may very well once we become believers, nobody teach us how to live by means of the Spirit, so naturally we fall back to the old  ethics and values. All the schools have taught us to analyze with reason and logic, never knowing there is another way, which is listening to the voice of the Spirit for guidance.                  The fellowship of the Holy Spirit is always with us, it says in 2 Cor. 13:14, "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all, from now on till the end." This is the benediction given by the pastors at the end of the Sunday Service. The fellowship of the Holy Spirit is always with us, only the Spirit can lead us to the truth and God's holiness and abundance. We have to welcome the Holy Spirit working daily in our lives, listen to the voice of the Spirit, and follow the footsteps of the Spirit. Life is a formula, inputting x and y and you'll get z, inputting a+b and the outcome is c. If your input is reason, logic and doubts, the outcome is spiritual death; if your chosen input is the Holy Spirit, coupled with God's words along with faith, the outcome is the spiritual life, and the living life.                  We need to think again what are the inputs to life? Whether or not you are a Christian, if the input is reason, logic and doubts, then your spiritual condition is doomed to die. If you believe in Jesus Christ and welcome the work of the Holy Spirit, listen to the voice of the Spirit, read God's words every day, and then you'll discover it brings a new spiritual life. Ask the Lord to help us choose life, not to choose death, choose the fellowship of the Holy Spirit; not to rely on the flesh and knowledge in our living, live every day in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. We'll experience the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection as well as the power of victory in us.                                                                  Pray with Pastor Tong           Lord, please use your precious blood to cleanse and cover us, so that we come to your presence again, and receive the fellowship of the Spirit in our daily lives, listen to the voice of the Spirit, follow the leading of the Spirit, and experience your abundance and victory.
