Galatians 3: 5-10

"....So also Abraham "believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you." So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith...."

Abraham believed in God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. From a human perspective, Abraham is not a righteous person, twice he deceived others by claiming his wife was his sister to save his life, nearly setting her up in unrighteousness; later Sarai could not conceive, and he agreed to marry Hagar. God however called him righteous, not because of God's favoritism; rather it's because of his faith. When God called him to leave Ur, he left his country, his people and his father's household behind to follow God. When God promised him, "Your descendants will number as many as the stars in the sky and the sand by the sea," and Abraham believed God's words. That night, when God brought Abraham outside to look at the stars in the sky, suddenly he saw in faith that every star became the faces of children, calling him from the sky: "Abba! Abba!" Abraham believed God's words, so God credited him as righteous.

Do you have faith in God? Heb. 11:6 says, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Many believers only belief in prejudice; they believe God exists but having trouble to believe God rewards those who earnestly seek him. We need the full faith when we come before God, not only believing God exists, and believing that God will remember our needs, and rewarding those who earnestly seek him. We can bring all our needs and pray before God, believe in God's words, seizing God's promises in our walk.

Abraham is that such type of person; he seized God's promises and walked by faith, and every God's promise was fulfilled in the course of his life. Therefore, we have to walk by faith, seize God's promises in our daily lives, because it is impossible to please God without faith. Live by faith, not by sight, no matter what the circumstances, believe God will pave our ways, and pray to God for special strength!

Lord, we offer our thanksgiving and praise, because you are the true faithful God that leads us. We ask the Lord to increase our faith, let us live not by sight, and follow you closely in our daily lives. We give thanks and pray in the victorious name of Jesus, Amen!
