Romans 2:1-4
"You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?"
When you are pointing out someone's fault, don't forget that you are three fingers of your own pointing back at you. In other word, don't judge others. We need to understand what Paul has said here: "for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself," because none of us is perfect and no one dares to claim they are free of sin. Even if our behavior is strictly disciplined, our hearts remain dark.
After King David committed adultery, God sent Prophet Nathan to rebuke him. The Prophet told him a parable: "There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him. Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him. David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, "As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this deserves to die! He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity." Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! "
The greatest weakness of people is that we can't see our own weakness. It's easy for us to see weaknesses of others, but not of ourselves. May God shine light inside us, else we are like one who's cleaning a room in the dark and cannot see whether the room is clean; only after light shines in will we see that the room is filled with spider web. Why didn't we see how dirty the room was? It's because there is no light. In the same way, when the Holy Spirit shines inside us, we would see how filthy we are and that we need salvation by God just like everyone else. Do you know that you also need salvation? You need it not only when you are saved, but you need to be covered by the Lord's precious blood in your daily life.
