Psalm 18:1-3

I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.

The second verse says "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." The whole verse points to the fact that we can depend on God. When you are in distress and have nowhere to hide, let us seek refuse in The Lord and depend on His almighty arms. When we are in hardship, we would think real hard and try all possible ways to solve our problems, but we might forget the most important thing, which is to depend on the Lord!

Verse three says "I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies." In order to be saved from the hands of the enemy, we must call to the Lord who's worthy of praise. In other word, the more difficult the circumstance is, the more we must praise the Lord out loud. We must proclaim out loud by faith: "The Lord is my refuse in distress, and He's the true God who sits on the throne. He can still make way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The enemy will flee away because we are standing on the foundation of the precious blood of Jesus!" As soon as you call to the Lord who's worthy of praise, God will do His work. If you study the history from the books of Chronicles, you'll see that whenever the Israelites were attacked by enemies, they would shout out praises. When they praise God loudly, God would send the angels and heavenly army to cast out all the enemies! May God help us to see this secret of spiritual victory, which is the call to the Lord who's worthy to be praised whenever we are in hardship!

Pray with Pastor Tong

Lord, I thank you because you fight for Israel, and you prepare a table before the enemy. Let us proclaim by faith that you are still in control and sitting on the throne in our lives. May all the glory to you! I thank you and I pray in the victorious name of Jesus, amen!
