Hebrews 3:1-2
Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. 2 He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God's house.
When Jesus was on earth, He faithfully did all that God wanted Him to do. Jesus started His ministry at the age of 30. What did He do before He was 30? He prayed and waited, and was doing carpentry faithfully. He knew that God did not call Him to be just a carpenter, but he faithfully worked as a carpenter. Back then, there were people who hired Jesus to make a table for them. If I were Jesus, I would be grumbling in my heart. However, Jesus was different. When the time came, He came and started preaching God's Word.

During the time of David, David was persecuted by Saul and wandering in the wilderness. He hid in the cave of Adullam. He had 400 people following him then. Those who followed him were in distress, in debt or discontented. David knew that God promised him a palace, not a cave. Yet he ended up in a cave with these 400 people. However, David did not lose heart. He faithfully did what God asked him to do. When the time came, God called them out of the cave and by that time, the 400 men were no longer in distress, in debt and discontented. They were known as David's warriors. Hallelujah!

Do you feel like your circumstances are like a cave today? Do you feel like God's promises were not meant to be? You need to be faithful to God in your circumstances, to faithfully do what God has asked you to do. When the time comes, God will open up a way for you. What is the work that God has entrusted you to do? For a husband, it is to love his wife. For a wife, it is to submit to your husband. In the church, you need to do what should be done. You should serve in ministry, gather together regularly and tithe faithfully. For those who do not yet believe in God, they need to place their trust in Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. When you submit to God willingly, you will discover God's power will come on you and you will see God preparing many open doors for you.

As long as you do your part and do what God entrusts you to do, when the time comes, God will definitely bring breakthrough to your life. Because when you do what you should do, God will do His part. We are only vessels of God, and all we can do is to surrender. When we submit to God, He will open up a way for us.
Pray with Pastor Tong
Lord, I thank you because you are the God who opens up a way for us. You want us to be faithful to you in our daily lives. Grant us a heart to be faithful in what we do. No matter where we are, we will submit and be faithful so that your name may be glorified. I thank you and pray in the victorious name of Jesus, Amen!
