Hebrews 3:3-4
Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
The Jews back then respected Moses because the Old Testament law came from Moses. They thought Moses deserved to be honored more than Jesus. The author of the book of Hebrews clarified that Jesus is worthy of greater honor than Moses and Jesus was worthy of more glory and honor because Jesus is the Creator while Moses was a created being. God created us for a plan and purpose. He has a different plan for each generation, and chose different vessels to accomplish His will. Just as a builder has many bricks, some are for the foundation, some for the walls and some for the roof. God's eternal plan is like a building a house. At first, He would use some bricks for foundation, at a different time, He will put some of the bricks for the wall and lastly, some bricks will be used for the roof.

Moses was only a brick in the house, just like Paul was. In the same way, we are only vessels that God can use, just like the bricks in the house. There is nothing for us to boast about. Proverbs talks about Jesus being the source of wisdom. He is Lord and He is God. We are but created beings, clay in the hands of a potter. Just like playing chess, the chess piece in the hands of a master chess player lands wherever the chess master chooses. Our Lord is like the chess master. There is nothing impossible for him. He will win the chess game. When we are willing to put our lives in His hands, and move according to His plan, we will win that ultimate victory. From this perspective, the work of Jesus way surpasses that of Moses.

We need to humble ourselves and come before God to acknowledge that we are created beings, and put our lives into His hands for His use. We need to serve faithfully according to God's will, and honor God in all that we do. Let us work together and build up God's family so that his will may be glorified through us. Brothers and sisters, are you willing to do so? Put your lives in His hands and He will use you mightily.
Pray with Pastor Tong
Lord, I thank you because you have a plan and purpose for our lives. No matter where you have placed us, let us be thankful and serve you humbly so that you may use us and you may be glorified in our lives. I thank you and pray in the victorious name of Jesus, Amen!
