There are two things here that will never change - The promises of God, and revelations of God. God's promise will never change. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says that "no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ." How many of God's promises do you know, and how many have you personally experienced? A pastor once said that whenever he finds a promise of God in the Bible, he would mark it with a red T, meaning that he would test it. After he tested a promise of God and found it to be true, he would mark it with a blue T, representing that it is true. After a while, he found that his entire Bible was filled with red Ts as well as blue Ts. No matter how many promises God has made, they are all true and real. The most important thing is how much you value the promised of God. When you read God's promises, have you ever thought about testing them, let them become reality in your life? When a new restaurant opened, we might ask people whether they've tried it. If no one's been there, someone would suggest going there to try it out, to see whether it is as good as what people said. When you read God's word, have you ever thought about testing it and see whether it's really effective and never changes? Every word of God carries power, and none is spoken in vain.
Next, God's revelations will never change. God is not human, so He will never lie. Every promise He had made in the Bible was made for you. You can hold on to God's promises and pray before Him, and God will answer you prayer. One time I promised my daughter that I would spend some time every week to cook with her. One day I was busy and forgot about it, and my daughter called me and said: "daddy, you said you're coming back to cook with me!" I said: "I am busy, I can do it this time." She said: "daddy, you promised!" I suddenly understood that I must do what I've promised, so I ended up cancelling the coworkers meeting at night and went back to cook with her. God taught me a lesson - I just understand how to hold on to his promises when I pray. When you hold on to His promise, you will find that God never lies and He will fulfill His word. God's word is always true, so if you want your prayer to be effective you must know how to hold on to God's promises, and you will see eventually see your prayer reaching Him.
