If we "deliberately keep on sinning", no sacrifice for sins is sufficient for us. Deliberately keep on sinning means several things. First is the trampling the son of God. Trampling refers to rejecting, resisting and maliciously attacking. When a person determines to reject Jesus, he rejects any possibility of God's work in his life. He deliberately resists and deliberately sins. Also, deliberately sinning means we are indifferent about the blood of Christ. The blood of Jesus represents salvation. If we neglect the Lord's salvation and do not recognize it as precious, that is deliberately sinning. Even more importantly is the third thing - blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 12:31 says, "And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven." This is because the Holy Spirit is the one who accomplishes the work of salvation in our lives, God, the Father is the planner, Jesus does the work, and the Holy Spirit brings the salvation of Christ into our lives.
.
As long as we do not suppress the prompting of the Holy Spirit, there is always a chance that God's Spirit can help us to turn around. Just like the Apostle Paul who persecuted Christians before he came to know Jesus, when he encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus, his heart was turned towards God by the Holy Spirit. If one were to resist the Holy Spirit for a prolonged period of time, the Holy Spirit will no longer continue to work in the person's heart and that person may not be able to receive salvation. As such, when we blasphemy against the Spirit, we are rejecting the work of God and we will lose the chance of receiving God's pardon. Hence, do not deliberately keep on sinning. The truth is only God can tell when someone deliberately keeps sinning. This passage merely warns us. If you are in sin, do not remain there. You need to repent and turn back to God! Turn back before it is too late and let the blood of Jesus cover you. Do not chase the Holy Spirit away from you, otherwise no sacrifice for sin will be left.
