God promised Abraham with blessings, and He said "Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward." But back then Abraham did not have any children, so he responded by saying that he was still childless and there's no one to inherit his properties. God then brought him outdoor to see the sky, and said that his offspring will be as numerous as the stars. Reverent Yonggi Cho interpreted this passage like this: When Abram lifted his eyes, suddenly all the stars became faces of children, all crying out to him "Abba, abba!" Abram believed in Jehovah, and Jehovah became his righteousness. Since then, Abram received this promised and was prepared for God's work. He later changed his name to Abraham, meaning "father of many nations." He was truly a man of faith, for it takes faith to receive God's promise from prepare for God's work from our hearts. Hebrews 11:6 says that "...and without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
.
Many Christians to have faith, but they only have faith in the fact that God exists, which is not enough. We must believe that God rewards those who seek Him. Are you seeking God? Have you received promises from Him? 1 Corinthians 1:21 says that "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ." The most important thing is how much you value the promised from God. The more you value them and welcome Him to our lives, the more you'll be rewarded for seeking Him. Just like how Abraham sought God, then God gave him a son who became a blessing for nations. In the same manner, God wants to work in our lives so that His promises will come true in our lives to accomplish His wonderful works. Are you willing to become vessel of faith in the hands of God?
