Psalm 38:12-22

...Lord, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God. For I said, "Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip." For I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me. I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin. Many have become my enemies without cause; those who hate me without reason are numerous. Those who repay my good with evil lodge accusations against me, though I seek only to do what is good. Lord, do not forsake me; do not be far from me, my God. Come quickly to help me, my Lord and my Savior.

Even though the psalmist encountered tremendous hardship, but he still trusts in God. Verse 15 says "Lord, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God." Even in the midst of hardship, he still trusts God and will never give up. It reminds me of a church near my house that has a big sign in front of it. Every time I pass by that church, my heart is encouraged, because the sign says "Never Give Up". May God help us to never give us our faith and our dream, and never give us the great expectation we have in God! Brothers and sisters, our God is still sitting on the throne, and he still rules everything in our life. We need to choose to trust Him, and firmly believe that God will answer our prayer.

One time, Lord Jesus Christ brought the disciples to cross the Sea of Galilee. Before he cross the sea, he told the disciples that they'll cross to the other side of the sea. When their boat was in the midst of the Sea of Galilee, suddenly a great wave came up and a massive storm was coming. Even though the disciples were experienced with the Sea of Galilee, suddenly they all cried out for help. They woke Jesus up and said "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" Jesus Christ got up and rebuked the storm, and told the disciples: "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" We are often of little faith because we don't understand that when Jesus said they will cross to the other side, He actually meant that they'll definitely make it to the other side safely. Even though they encountered great storm and they thought they're about to die, the Lord's promise will never fail, hallelujah! Let us depend on Him wholeheartedly, and learn to trust Him in our daily life, because He will guide us all our life!

Dear Lord, I thank you because no matter how fierce the storm is, you will be with us. In the midst of the storms in our life, we ask that you help us to choose to trust you every day! I thank you and I pray in the victorious name of Jesus, amen!
